Photo Session with Daddy - Big Spring Park

How could anyone stay inside today?  Seriously, if you didn't get out and enjoy the weather especially today, something is wrong with you.  I hope nothing is truly wrong with you but what a remarkable day.  Today we decided we wanted to get some good pictures of Emme.  Yes, she is dressed a bit like it's cold outside.  I dressed her in this outfit, well, because I'm the Mommy and I like the outfit.  I think that's enough reason for everyone.  I do have to say, she was put on her feet for 5 minutes in the early session and yes, we managed to step in DOG POO.  Whatever rude person did not pick their dogs feces up, yes, my 14 month found it to step in. And of ALL shoes, her boots with the fur.  Ugh.  I'd like to think that's the last poo stepping moment we ever have.  But, I'm not that dumb.  Here are some pictures that we got today at Big Spring Park.

Just getting in my wagon and ready for the fun.

Watching all the people

A similar pic to the one from Mooresville.

As you are about to see...HIGHLY entertained by the acrobatic dog we ran into

We were HIGHLY entertained by this dog.

Friday, 4 February 2011 = Big Day for Emme Speaks

Well, this is the day we officially moved to the Toddler class at PR.  I was nervous about this move for obvious reasons.  Yes, my baby has been walking for over a month but to me, this move just means she's growing up.  And when I say growing up...she's growing up WAY.TOO.FAST.  This class doesn't get to eat in a high chair, she sits at a big girl table in a big girl chair.  She also doesn't get a bottle.  Yes, she still drinks her milk out of a bottle.  She will one day give up this bad habit.  And, if this is the only bad habit my angel has in life, I'll take it!  Here are a couple of pics that PR sent "Paranoid Momma".

Pics from last weekend and week

Well, last weekend was absolutely gorgeous.  Couldn't have asked for a more perfect Saturday.  Of course, went to Brewbakers to kick start the day and then found ourselves at the Botanical Gardens for a few hours.  Had a delicious lunch at Clementines and then came back home.  Here are a few pictures from the Botanical Garden trip, Emme sporting her Auburn cap, and Emme showing out in the Toddler room at PR.  She's a perfect mix of sporty, spunky, tough, and of course...DIVA.

So, here you go.  Enjoy!

Adding some "OLD" pics as well as some "NOT THAT OLD" ones, too

Well, because I've been away from the blog world for some time (in all honesty, forgot about it), here are some pictures.  Some go way back...some are just a month or so ago (but seem so old since she's growing SO fast).
At her Baptism

These next few pictures are from Daddy's incredible photo shoot in Mooresville, AL.  This is when we realized, we don't always have to pay to have a photographer (which is nice...can't afford one every.single.time.we.want.one)

Test Post

Test post on importing pictures into a post...

I've always loved this picture for some reason.  I see this face all too often, still.

1 February 2011

Well, we are 8 days shy of a 14 month celebration. Not really a celebration...but we are 8 days shy of being 14 months young!

There are a few things that I've learned in the last few days/weeks/whatever it was.

1. When a little one decides they will walk...they WILL walk. This is finally Emme's preferred mode of transportation. That is unless Daddy picks her up (which she OWNS him). I'm certain the running will occur by the next post. We tend to run now...but it's unintentional.

2. One never knows what an eating experience will be like with Emme Speaks. One night, she loves spaghetti. So, you think...yes, FINALLY a meal she will eat. Only to find out this meal will be a complete disaster the next go around. Well, needless to say if Emme does not enjoy my seasoned cooking, 2 dogs do!

3. My child would rather eat UNsalted, UNseasoned, NO taste, COLD school food. Yes, apparently she'd rather eat cardboard than anything with thought put into it.

These are just a few items I've learned.
